TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK opened in 2023 as the second property from the team behind TRUNK Cat Street, this time on the Tomigaya side of Yoyogi Park — a neighbourhood Tokyo locals call Oku-Shibuya, the city's quietest cool corner. Architect Keiji Ashizawa wrapped the 25-room building in board-marked concrete and salvaged Yoshino cedar, with rooms that all face the park's western edge. The fifth-floor TRUNK(POOL CLUB) — a 25-metre infinity pool above the treetops — is the rare Tokyo hotel pool worth booking the room for. Pizzeria e Trattoria L'OMBELICO downstairs is by Mirko Febbrile, the chef behind one of Sydney's most missed restaurants.
