The Taj Mahal Palace has been Mumbai's most celebrated address since 1903, its Indo-Saracenic dome a landmark of the city's waterfront. The 285-room hotel, overlooking the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea, has hosted every significant figure of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Tower wing, added in 1973, offers harbour views from every room. The hotel's six restaurants, including Wasabi by Morimoto and Masala Kraft, make it the finest dining destination in Mumbai.
